Tivo remote not working with new batteries.

In the past few weeks the remote control for my Tivo Premier has not responded immediately at first try in the morning. Obviously I thought to change the batteries. But before I did that I checked the voltage with my multimeter and both 1.5V AA batteries indicated 1V each. So 1V batteries barely work and the light on the top of the remote is dim.It's working now on one of my two Samsung TV's, thanks! No longer seeing the "Not Available" message on one, the other I'm still seeing the message. So on the one that is now working I did a remote reset and went thru scanning devices and it automatically found Samsung, I did this a couple of times before I was able to get the message to go away.Nothing. I tried the other Tivo remote that works for this Tivo and that does not work either. Hopefully after the recording stops I will regain functionality BUT the previous day I had a virus on my work PC that was the Ldpinch virus and hopefully that did not get into my network and infect all three of my Tivos. Took it apart and hit it with compressed air, lots of dust, back together and it still showed the multiple inputs problem like many signals from the remote.
