You had to get to close to some enemies with spam AoE attacks. I dont run a shield Im a quick strike katana or dagger with blood dtep player. I have 60 Int so I run spells/incantations for range support. Moonveil can do it but so far it seems the nagakiba seems to proc it more consistently. If you can blood or fire affinity the nagakiba, than yes. Build Arcane and make the Nagakiba Occult, a blood ash of war will give very good bleed although it's been nerfed quite a bit 😭. My knee jerk reaction to RoB is primal rage, but if you're using it PvE and you're good at rolling, do dual katanas all the way.

Blood Nagakiba is better because both will get reduced damage, but the reach of the Nagakiba will make it ridiculously good with Spinning Slash. Both are good enough imo, naga has more range but stick with what you like the most. I think the difference is like +6 ot 7 damage.
