Oct 23, 2023 · Compared to the TS3 or other Maltby irons. You can see the backend of the TS3 4i and to a lesser extent the TE+ 5i & 6i at address if you don’t address the ball with an open club face. You can also see the thicker topline in the TS3 4 iron compared to the TE+ irons. I played 9 with them today and it’s like cheating.
KE4 Max for 2022. Great idea on the weight port. Hiddenish in the cavity. The design of the KE4 Max is such that a golfer can still have a beautiful sleek design in a Ultra Game Improvement head. The TS1-IM and the TS4 irons are very close in playability. The main difference in and a slight difference in the loft specs (TS1-IM is .5 to 1 degree stronger) and the technology designed into them. You can read abut the differences on line. They will look a little different, maybe feel a little different, etc.
It seems like the offset on the Maltby's is less than what I prefer (the SE's have just a hint of offset that really frames the ball well.). The 770's look interesting, but spendy. The market for heavier weight graphite iron shafts is very slim.
Maltby makes great clubs. My best playing set of irons are my TE Forged irons.
