Go watch Steve's videos on NewEgg or the scam PC building boutique company. He's as close to a journalist that there is for the Tech reviewer channels. I then spent 3-4 months watching GN content, and caught myself up completely; using that information to build a high cost/performance ratio PC with full awareness of what I was giving up for each piece I selected.
