The main American Airlines Admirals Club has re-opened in Charlotte. It was closed for 6 months for renovations. And travelers are wondering what was even accomplished. First day of the CLT C/D Admirals Club reopening and it looks exactly the same as before. Only the furniture reupholstered but in the same drab colors.

The food (bagels, instant oatmeal, limited fruit) and beverages (coffee, tea, OJ, CranJ, etc.) are all decent, but they're included with the price of admission. The area is huge with plenty of seating, high ceilings that keep it quiet, and plenty of windows overlooking the airport.
