Meaning it runs on your computer, where as tradovate is a web based application so it runs on the web. The one thing that ninjatrader has over tradovate is that it allows you to pretty much connect to any broker of your choice. Tradestation is $0.62 MORE costly than Tradovate with the $99 a month plan. AMP, Dorman, Phillips, IB, Tradovate, NinJatrader, Tradestation I have them all. Tradovate and NinjaTrader both use Dorman and Phillips but ironically you have to signup for a new account for both NinjaTrader and Tradovate.

This is because I use SierraChart and Jigsaw. SierraChart has the most stable data connection and excellent trade copier and most customizable charts. Jigsaw has one of the best DOM. The tradovate unfortunately only allows tradovate or ninjatrader, which has lacking features for me. DOM sucks on both and ninja has efficiency issues.
