I had the TS-1 irons and they were great quality just really hard to hit because they were very blade like shape but Maltby is a great brand that isn’t too good to be true. Posted April 8, 2023. I have a set of irons that I want to reshaft from steel to graphite. I've discussed it previously and really like the PX Catalyst but they aren't made anymore. I'm thinking of going with Maltby MPF Pro Series Graphite Iron Shafts. The specs look good, the price is good, the description of them being frequency sorted … backinit. I guess it’s what you compare them to? Pxg 0211 when they were $79 a club? Sure these would cost more. I think if you look at the TM 790 or 770 vs any of the new Maltby offerings, they’ll price out much lower. Stock carry at 34* loft is 186 yards. (My Mp20 mmc are -2 weak) 1. Launch monitor. I then bought a set of Ping G’s (2016) , pulled the shafts, and sold for 50 bucks. I already had TTXL lite shafts to put in. I’m currently at net -$40 but still have two of the non-matching shafts up for sale, which should about cover the difference.I used to use Maltby Irons. They were great, but for whatever reason, when I wanted a new set I think a year or two ago, I went with Ping. The KE-4 Maltby Irons were great. I still use their hybrids (3,4).
