1/10/2023. Humana was one of the worst dental insurance companies I've ever used. On more than one occasion, my dentist had me pay for what Humana would "no longer cover". Apparently, they don't cover composite fillings (white), they only cover metal fillings. VERY outdated coverage.

In addition, they provided NO COVERAGE for an emergency tooth extraction and related bone graft.Since 2017, I paid Humana about $700/per for Medigap that includes dental. In the last year, I needed three filling due to enamel cracks. Humana paid $0 benefit. The reason for exclusion is that my dentist uses a different, but better fill material that what is covered.
