I looked at the connection and it looks like the hose snaps in to the heater core inlet/outlet port/nipple and is secured by a clip.

To remove the connector from the block, I used a 27mm socket (not a deep socket) and a ratchet. It would be an advantage to use a stubby or swivel head ratchet, but I made due with a regular one. Install is the same just in reverse, however, be VERY, VERY careful screwing in the connector to the block. You DO NOT want to crossthread here!
