My 2019 Acadia got the P0128 code (~89,000 mi). Looked at several parts stores before finding one in stock for about $170 (thermostat and housing assy). Used the following video intructions and did the job easily in about 3-4 hours. That time can easily be cut down for someone who has done it before.

Pulling the battery and resetting the code only clears things temporarily. It will come back and happen more often because the thermostat will get stuck more.
