Rivian does not have a transmission. Top speed is limited by motor RPM, the fixed ratio reducing gear, and tire diameter.

I think Rivian needs more than two settings on the ride comfort. Soft and stiff are probably not enough. Possibly a 3rd setting like "balanced" could be added to mimic the old soft so that folks can go back if they want. Ride comfort is very subjective so one person might appreciate an extra floaty and soft ride while another might not.I was in a two lane street in a residential area in the center of Aberdeen, WA with a posted speed of 25 mph. The Rivian map showed a speed limit of 75. 😬 I'm assuming because the street was technically a WA highway. The fact ride quality improvements can be an OTA is impressive within itself. •.
