Most of my retirement funds are in Vanguard ETF's. About 17% of total retirement assets are in VXUS. It has outperformed VTI YTD and the past year, but underperformed significantly over 3, 5 and 10 year periods. Interested in thoughts on whether I should rebalance VXUS holdings to VTI, or other ETF's such as VGT or VONG.

It makes no sense to compare VXUS (an all cap international equity fund) to VIGAX, which is a US large cap growth fund. Apples and oranges. Figure out what level of international (inc EM) you are comfortable with in your equity portfolio. VXUS is a great holding for this. Not enough info to give you very much additional advice here.

VTI+VXUS has a lower ER. VTI+VXUS has more holdings. VTI+VXUS has more asset under management and higher daily trade volume which usually means better liquidity, market depth and spreads. VT has no good single fund TLH partner that I am aware of.
