Class sizes are great, professors are accessible, tutoring is available and the work is challenging, but not excruciating. Not sure how this school is #2 in Texas considering how its a purely a party school with some academics (McCombs Business and Comp Sci/Engineering are great programs though). transfer to Rice or UT Dallas. 9/10. A big portion of why I succeeded is my previous knowledge of Calc 1 and I had an amazing GSI. Professor Bamler lectures you and tests you as if you were a math student studying an upper-division mathematics course and expects a lot from the students. He gave a generous curve, but I believe it's more important to teach properly than grade well.

Prof. Farahat sends out materials to review before each lecture- DO THIS or else you will fall behind. I found lectures to be confusing, so I basically self-studied all of the material. Midterms are incredibly easy if you do his practice problems. The final was difficult and tanked my grade.

It's a bit of a commuter school presently, but one dorm opened Fall 2023 and they are building another dorm, so there should be some good campus life when those are full of students.
