Joined. Feb 26, 2012. Messages. 47. Feb 29, 2012. #1. I just bought a 15hp Force/ Gamefisher from a guy a work, it runs but runs rough. I checked the compression, it's got 109/110 psi, but no spark on the lower cylinder. The plug wires come from under the flywheel, unlike my newer motor, also a Force/Gamefisher 9.9hp.
Trying to figure out why the motor is running so hot even when it's pumping water. The motor model # is 225 581500 (15hp) The prop that's on there now model # is tough to read but I think it's 072025. The motor is on a 14' Gamefisher Aluminum boat. We usually carry 2 avg sized poeple and fishing equipment. (Battery, Minn Kota trolling mtr, gas tank...) If there is any additional info needed I will reply.

Yes if you were on one cylinder its possible it might plane.8 or 10 mph but added weight would really bog down.Under ideal conditions that motor would run about 20 to 25 mph. A 2 stroke motor on one cylinder would feel normal for an inexperienced operator.

It cost me $100.00 but he threw in a 80s 9.9 Force motor with a bad cylinder to use as a parts motor.
