The Injectors are not injecting fuel into the bottom end, only the transfer ports. Oil is injected into the throttle body and travels to the bottom end. GET makes an Injector relocation kit with a GET ecu to move the injectors between the throttle body and the reeds. Unfortunately Merc does not make a cover for the hole when you remove the pump so it must be put back in to seal that hole.
