Got my windshield replaced, and the shop cut out the glass around the stickers and tossed it into my cup holder with blue painters tape around thw edge. I kept it in my glove box for about 2 months before inspection and just got new stickers there after. Years later, I still have the cut-out glass with stickers in my glovebox.
