I recently have an interview for i751 & N400, the interview went very good & the officer told us that he adjusted my i751 after asking few questions from my wife & he told us it's approved after that he took my N400 interview & test alone & told me congratulations you have passed & gave me the form N-652 which says I passed all the tests & congratulations your application is recommended for ...On my interview date Oct 29th 2020, I-751 was done first between my wife and I and then proceeded to do my N-400 interview. The interviewer told me that I passed the N-400 interview but he could not make a decision right there because he was not having my I-751 file in front him to review my documents.Need assistace please. I gave my combo interview for i-751 and N400 on July 5th(seattle field office). Officer mentioned that she would need 2022 tax documents which I missed to carry with me. She said she would send me a letter asking for documents and also mentioned that without approving i-751 they wouldn't be able to approve N-400.Unfortunately, I did not get a interview notification for i751 before this N400 interview took place yesterday. My husband and I prepared for a combo interview anyway, but apparently they could only do N400. The officer was very busy and she did not seem to be very patient at the start.

Possibly your I-751 will be approved without an interview. In my case, they did the N-400 interview, and then the 751 interview 3 months (!) later. It was the same officer, though. There is nothing improper about having an N-400 interview before an I-751 interview. Indeed that is apparently standard procedure at at least one field office (Seattle). You might get a combo. Your spouse should be available to be be invited into your N-400. Calling USCIS to derail your N-400 strikes me as a really bad idea.

When you are called for your interview, you immediately show the officer your I-751 NOA (make sure to make a copy, and bring it and the original).
