Yes. You need to force all of the def system components (in a nutshell) to run their tests with a scan tool to clear these sorts of def system messages and functions. Sorry guys but some of this stuff just can’t be done without a good scan tool. Didn’t see this thread until now either so sorry for being late to the party.

Easiest way is to lower tank a bit to find the harness going to tank heater on top of tank. You find to wires coming out of the main def system harness leading to a two wire plug on top of tank. From the plug the wires continue to the sending unit. Unplug the plug and check resistance, if unusally high or an open is found it is bad.383 posts · Joined 2019. #2 · Jan 16, 2024. you can't bypass the DEF codes. the other issue is your DPF system, if it doesn't clear with a regen, it may need to be replaced or cleaned. there is a thread on here that explains cleaning the filter with chemicals. otherwise it needs to be cut out cleaned and re-installed.

Blew computers mind, had to take it to dealer to clear and reset and informed me to always shut it off.
