Hello, We bought 2 new Rubicon 520 - DCT-IRS-EPS - and they both developed shifting issues around the 400 mile mark. The shifting was very hard and and I was also very concerned about screwing up the gears, until I found out there was a service bulletin out since March 2021.

Takes a few miles to break them in after that smother as butter. The low range comes in handy for plowing or going down steep hills the engine braking is the same as foot shift model. Remove the shift motor and gears (very simple to do). Remove all the factory stiff, gummy grease that was put in the shift gears. Now, replace all that grease with a liberal amount of ALL-temperature, White Lithium Grease. Reassemble, and your shifting will be better. This works for all ES models except the Rincon.

Shifted better, but at wide open throttle it will still bounce off the rev limiter, especially in 4th and 5th gear.
