Ram rotary shifter stuck in park.

May 6, 2022 · An issue today for my wife. She could not get the shifter to move from park to reverse. Parking brake released, foot on brake… nothing. I hopped in turned key off and back on, shifter still would not move. Playing with the knob I just happened to slightly push down and the rotary shifter then moved out of park and into reverse. 2006. Engine. 5.7 Hemi. Last night my wife called me underground at work ND said that she had picked the kids up at school and the truck stuck in reverse. You can't argue with the space savings of the rotary shifter. My wife thinks it is weird still. I think it is the best thing ever.
