International parked regen not working.
Posted August 27, 2016. Have a 2016 Mack Granite 1400 miles, with a regen problem. It will not do a passive regen which results in the filter getting clogged every 4 days. We average speeds of over 60 Mph. The check engine light came on and I took it to Mack. they said that it needed a regen although it did not request it.
When the regen light comes on, here’s what you do: Park your tractor on a flat surface in a well-ventilated area. Keep the engine running in idle. Engage the brake. Put all shift levers in neutral. Turn off PTO. Warm up the engine. It should be running for at least 3 or 4 minutes before starting regen.With the auto regen box checked it will regen every 496 miles or less regardless of the soot load in the DPF. Uncheck the auto regen box and drive the truck. When full enable the auto regen and drive it while watching the soot load % decrease.
