It's only white to indicate it hasn't been cleared yet, you can still enter them normally. legend and master versions are a tougher challenge changing each day, that can provide exotic rewards if you can clear them solo. you must have done the lost sector at least once normally plus you must reach the soft power cap for them to appear on your destinations map. The soft power cap for Season of the Chosen is 1250. I think legend lost sectors may becapped from 1190 to 1219/1225 ish Light. Which is why I can't see them anymore at 1230.
