When I pull the control lever all the way up, the hydraulic arms creep slowly up and stop about one third of the total distance they are supposed to travel. I had a mechanic come out on Friday and test the hydraulic pump. He said it was ok.I'm attempting to adjust the quadrant on my '49 8N. I'm doing so because I don't get any lift until the position control level is at least 2/3 of the way through the travel. I'm following the procedure in the FO-4 manual, and while simple enough looking, I still have a couple of questions. 1st, I'm supposed to put the position control lever ...Well-known Member. On my tractor, when the draft control lever (inner lever) is in the full up position, the lift is in the full up position, and the position control lever has no affect. See attached diagram. Shaft #23 is actually a concentric shaft (has inner and outer shafts).
