I still had the codes so I swapped the VPS and the solenoid with known good ones.

Feb 13, 2012 · Ok so Saturday I'm gettin ready to leave work, had moved the truck around to the wash bay, cleaned it up, brought it inside to do detailing on it. get done with that, start it and throws CEL and defaulted to max rail pressure. cleared codes in the truck, light instantly came back on. checked the fault codes and found the only code was p0090 for fuel pressure control circuit. try turning the key on, then off, leave the key off, wait about 4-5 minutes then with key off try to pull code, if it dont work turn key on pull and clear code then urn off and re start... If it like the P009e code (that im very familir with) you have to clear it this way.. Cranks, no start. I isolated it to the wiring harness, and sure enough there was a spot where a metal bracket had worn through the wiring harness.

Detects delta temp. due to block heater effect or faulty in-range fuel temp.sensor. Sep 2, 2014 · P0090 Check engine code. I last drove my truck on Friday morning and it was running fine. I went to drive it today and before I started it, it gave me a reduced engine power warning, I hooked up my engine code reader and it spit out P0090. I did some research and found out it has something to do with a fuel pressure regulator.

P0090 is fuel pressure regulator control circuit- I doubt it would keep it from starting, but would definitely affect the way it runs by the regulator not operating properly. If you didn’t have a prime problem before the sinister cat filter adapter, that kinda points to the problem right there.Oh, my!!
